For the last two years lot of discussions and debates going within the society as to commercial activities can’t be allowed inside the residential complex. In principle this is a valid point. But we need to use this principle with some amount of common sense taking the convenience of residents into account.
If we blindly enforce this principle, at the end only we will be suffering from it.
We should list down the extra-curricular activities for kids and allow the instructors to impart training inside the complex. This will save lot of people's time, energy and money. [Simple economics - if 100 residents send their kids for classes outside and spend Rs.40 per day for commuting, for 20 days in a month, 40x20x100=80,000 - it whooping 80K - we can save this by having classes organized within the society]
Earlier occasion we didn’t allow instructor to hold dance classes and chess classes inside the complex. But everyone enjoyed the dance performance of kids in the Ganesh festive.
Similarly we were opposing strongly for allowing vegetable vendor inside the complex. But when one stall was put up, every one found that to be convenient and used it. Suddenly now, somebody has decided to ban that also! This will be a big inconvenience to ladies especially.
When we oppose the activities which are really beneficial to members of the society, it was surprising to see one day - someone had put up a shop of dress materials in the stilt parking area. Wonder is that not commercial activity? This kind of commercial activity in open space should be discouraged. But not the first two type of activities.
By making this statement I'm neither deciding things on behalf of others nor forcing on others.
Just saying, lets come together to make our own lives simple and better.
